Celebrate World Refugee Day by joining us on the annual Refugee Walk! Join us at Dundas Square, #Toronto, at 9am, then walk with us to Regent Park. Along the way we’ll visit sites of special significance for refugees coming to Toronto.
The Canadian Centre For Victims of Torture (CCVT) is pleased to invite you to International Day in support of Victims of Torture. This is a day of celebration and support for one another. There will be performances, music, food and entertainment for all the family!
Come out for an intimate educational session with Dr. Michael Pollanen, based on his torture-related forensic casework and training missions in: Algeria, Bermuda, Cambodia, East Timor, Egypt, Haiti, Iraq, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Palestine, Thailand, and Uzbekistan. This evening will be of particular interest to healthcare providers who document the effects of torture, and anyone interested in how this work contributes to advancing human rights.
